Guidance

for leaders

Working with the fundamentals of good communication is the key to every leader’s success. My experience is that most people can hear, understand, and act upon most things if they have been communicated in the right way. In supporting leaders with communication, I can offer generic training or specific work around a key topic related to large, or small scale, communication plans.

Having the support of an experienced, neutral person in working through leadership challenges and dilemmas provides an important ‘safe space’ in which to download thoughts and get a fresh perspective. In working with leaders on a one-to-one basis I adjust to meet the needs of the individual, am always supportive but will challenge the person to think differently and try new approaches. One-to-one work can be the start of a larger intervention across a whole organisation, provide the basis for a major change initiative or simply be an opportunity to work through specific issues related to co-workers, stakeholders or clients.

Finding the next step or a new direction is not easy when caught up in a current role, or when a role disappears unexpectedly. Using profiling tools and visioning exercises I can support you in getting clear about how the future could look, where your passion lies, where your skill set is best applied and which values are the most important to you in finding your best-fit position.

pathways
for teams

There are often as many different realities as there are people in a room. Sometimes individuals get stuck in a way of seeing situations, which creates tension and conflict with those around them. Through patient dialogue, non-judgment, and the use of specific techniques it is possible to bring each person closer to seeing each other’s view and finding a constructive way forward. Conflicts which appear unresolvable can be mended through careful communication, rebuilding of trust and emotional repair.

The concept of sustainability is transitioning out of being confined exclusively to products. Increasingly organisations need to look at sustainability in human terms: how to have a workforce that is healthy, motivated, and resilient; teams that can deliver today as well as in the future, no matter what that future looks like. I work with companies on how to create manageable and sustainable workloads, how to have a culture that supports coaching and personal development, as well as long-term strategies with built in flexibility to navigate today’s ever-changing business landscape.
