LEADERSHIP

Leadership
With globalisation has come a new complexity for company leaders.
Companies today have numerous different structures and matrices that overlay each other in a web of local market and centralised resources. It is not uncommon for an employee to report to several different people for different aspects of their job and the 'dotted line' reporting system is an accepted way for people to work.
Market forces also require a higher degree of flexibility so that the pace of change in organisations is faster than ever. The necessary collaboration across different disciplines and perspectives to make this work brings with it a set of human dynamics that many executives are simply not equipped to handle.
The key to successful leadership today is being able to manage stakeholders in a full 360 degrees: having the skills to manage change, motivate people and facilitate progress on tasks with a wide variety of individuals and groups over whom there is no formal authority.
Many GDN Associates are experienced leaders themselves and have held positions in global management teams. This means we can provide the sort of training and development that supports the leaders of today in developing the necessary skills to manage complexity and take their leadership into a higher league.
